Art at a Glimpse!
This is an image of a child's drawing that I chose because it captures what she thinks of herself and her friend. They are the same height so she sees her as her equal. The are holding hands, so she sees them as being connected to eachother and they are both wearing crown as thoug she sees both of them as a princess. How adorable! ART...what do you see in the picture?

I remember drawing pictures like this and it was one of my bestfriend and I. You couldn't pull us apart. We done everything together from the same elementary school, to church, sleep overs and parties. In this picture I see two young girls who are connected and want to be the same thing in life and that is a princess
ReplyDeleteI love how you analyzed the picture bacause children are very literal with everything , and this child clearly has a wondrrful imagination and a healthy age appropriate understanding of relationships and self image. Very different from what I have seen many times in working with children who are considered troubled. Unless you gave them something specific to draw for an assignment you would get drawing that centered around their home life and the trauma they suffered. It was as if they were stuck in that moment of their life without closure.
